Vender Spotlight with Andrea & Erin's photographers Glenn Livermore Photography

Dana Markos Events: We are SO looking forward to working with you on Erin and Andrea’s wedding in October. Having worked with you many times in the past, we know your photography is amazing! Can you give us a little history of your business so that we might share it with our audience? When/how did you decide to become a photographer?

Glenn: I started taking photos in High School and have been working towards having this business ever since.  When we got married 17 years ago, we started shooting weddings for friends and that evolved into the business that we have today.

Dana Markos Events: When working with clients on their photography what is the experience usually like? Who usually takes charge? Is there a lot of compromise on the style, timing, themed sessions, etc?

April: All of our clients are unique.  We tailor everything we do to their day and their desires.  When a client has a lot of ideas we let them lead.  If they like our style and just want us to work our magic, then we are sort of in the lead.

Dana Markos Events: What is Glenn Livermore Photography's specialty? Is there a type of event that you particularly love working on?

Glenn & April: Every event is so different and they are all special.  There is always something about each event that we do that moves us.  Whether it is a large wedding or small, it's the people and the relationships that inspire our photography.  We do weddings, portraits, babies, maternity and commercial photography.  Weddings are extremely special in that we get to witness such a great day in the couple's life.  All of the other photography we do offers a nice contrast for us and helps us bring more to the wedding photography.

Dana Markos Events: Are there any new trends coming up for the 2011 wedding season in Photography?

Glenn & April: I'm seeing a desire in my clients to be more aware of their impact on the environment and simplify some aspects of the wedding to make it more fresh and fun.

  1. Locals also tend to frequent their neighborhood casinos rather than the touristy ones; and the neighborhood prices are lower across the board. But when you come to Las Vegas on vacation you're not expected to spend an hour crossing town to find an obscure place to eat, so this list will focus on places within a mile of The Strip, and on Freemont Street (downtown.) If you were to do an exhaustive internet search you could find many of the same deals listed here, they do all advertise, but this will simplify matters for you. There is no way for me to cover all of the choices, as there are hundreds; and the establishments are not under my control, so they may change their specials; but this is where I'd go for specials on a regular basis. I hope you enjoy the variety and the prices.
