Erin and Andrea's Wedding

After following the progress of planning Andrea and Erin's gorgeous Fall wedding, we are so happy to be able to share the final product! We discussed over the months the invitations, the photography, the cake, even the dress! Now all of our friends and fans are able to see how the beautiful event came together even better than we had anticipated!

The Fabulous Location: Castle Hill of the Crane Estate in Ipswich, MA.

The Bouquet: The bouquet we designed was primarily of White Roses, with hints of the Fall color palette poking through in the Hypericum Berries and a touch of green in the Seeded Eucalyptus! Most special of all is the beading surrounding the handle and the pendant hanging below. As many of you already know, DME is a HUGE fan of the "little details"!

And we can't forget about the Bridesmaid Bouquets! In stark contrast to the soft white look of the Bridal bouquet, the bridesmaid's carried brightly colored foliage inspired roses! A gorgeous look especially against the beautiful dresses!

The Decor: To compliment this Fall wedding, Dana Markos Events utilized a variety of autumnal colors including orange, burgundy, plum, and may others to play up the crisp cool weather. By incorporating a variety of shapes, textures, and heights, this decor looks lush and beautiful!

The Cake: We reveiled to everyone that the cake would be a decadent chocolate, but we doubt anyone was able to imagine something that looked as indulgent as this cake! With amazing floral creation, Jenny's Wedding Cakes created an eye catching piece of this wedding that everyone could enjoy in more ways than one!

Working in the hospitality industry, Dana Markos Events has the opportunity to be a part of a variety of fantastic events, from exceptional corporate parties, to gorgeous weddings of our clients dreams! Getting to know our new friends Andrea and Erin was an absolute pleasure and we wish them the very best and a lifetime of happiness!

Wearing a Non-traditional Wedding Dress

When little girls fantasize about their future wedding, the first vision they foresee is an adult version of themselves in a fancy white wedding dress! But as they grow older, some women's taste begins to change and by the time they are ready to say "I do!" they have selected something a bit less traditional!

In most recent years, many brides opt for a less traditional poufy wedding dress by selecting a gown that could be worn at any upscale formal event. By sticking with a white color palette the Bride can still feel like this dress is for her wedding, but she will not have to wear the Princess style dress that many choose.

Another way that many Brides are changing Wedding Dress standards is by going short! Depending on the weather, especially if you are having a Beach wedding, these dresses can make your Big Day beautiful and easy!

Some brides like to go completely outside the box and change up traditional fittings, fabrics, colors, and even patterns! On your wedding day, it's all about making YOU happy!

Event Venues: Berkshires Before and After

When finding the perfect venue for your event, you have to be able to visualize what the space will look like on your big day. Many times the room will look plain upon your first visit, but don't let that prohibit you from agreeing to it. With the right touches, from flowers, drapery, and even lighting, your venue can be completely transformed!

Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort "Before" Shot

At a Summer wedding in the Berkshires we had the chance to work on, our clients picked out a venue at a Resort that is normally used as a ski lodge! In the Summer months it is cleared out of sporting gear and resembles a dressed up conference room. With this space, our ultimate goal was to create an upscale and elegant style fit for a beautiful wedding.

Our clients requested a natural look, and didn't care for traditional floral arrangements and centerpieces. Instead of lush arrangements of hydrangea and roses we created tall glass centerpieces of curly willow and orchids. To make these even more special, we added hanging glass votives and candles, giving each table a wild and magical glow.

In addition to dressing up the tables, we also brought in ficas trees wrapped in lights and placed them at key focal points throughout the room.

The lighting fixtures throughout the room were very pretty, so we decided to dress up the rest of the ceiling by having some fabric drapery and paper lanterns installed. The extra detail definitely didn't go unnoticed, and had guests amazed!

By taking the blank canvas that the resort venue had to offer, we were able to completely transform the space and create a beautiful arena for this wedding. When you begin your venue searching process for your next big event, remember to keep in mind that the end product can look completely different from what you start with!
